Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT

The Level 3 IT Apprenticeship in Wales is a fully funded work-based learning programme designed to develop Digital Super Users within your organisation. This framework bridges the gap between basic IT literacy and advanced technical support, ensuring your employees can maximise the ROI of your software investments and digital infrastructure.

Underpinned by the Agored Cymru Level 3 Diploma in Digital Application Support, and topped up by the highly sought after MD-102 Microsoft Certified End-Point Administator certification, this apprenticeship combines hands-on industry experience with rigorous technical training to create high-value assets for any modern business.

Core Competencies and Learning

The apprenticeship framework ensures mastery across several critical business domains:

  • Security & Infrastructure: Implementing and maintaining security protocols for IT systems and navigating digital network environments.
  • Application Expertise: Providing high-level support for bespoke and specialist software, including troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
  • Project Management: Planning and executing IT application projects from requirements gathering to final deployment.
  • Digital Communication: Managing online collaboration tools and digital information workflows to streamline business operations.

Why invest in a Level 3 IT Apprentice?

  • Optimise Productivity: Apprentices learn to configure and manage collaboration tools and software, ensuring your team works more efficiently.
  • Bridge the Skills Gap: Instead of hiring expensive external consultants, develop in-house experts who understand your specific business applications.
  • Enhanced Security: With mandatory training in IT and Telecom Security, your apprentice becomes a first line of defence against digital threats and data mismanagement.
  • Fully Funded: This programme is eligible for Welsh Government funding, making it a cost-effective solution for workforce development.
