Policy Principle

iungo Solutions Limited (“iungo”) is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. We are a new generation Digital & Green Skills training provider. We design and deliver employer-led, learner-centric training programmes to help our participants to enter, upskill or retrain for tech roles in priority sectors. We deliver Digital & Green Skills training programmes for the Public and Private Sector,  including tailored programmes for high-growth priority sectors including FinTech, MedTech, Creative, Advanced Manufacturing and Semiconductors.

We provide a tailored service to our business and education clients as well as our participants to help them to achieve their upskilling goals. If you choose to use our Service, then you, and your participants, agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Who we collect data from

This policy applies to the information iungo Solutions collects about:

  • Visitors to iungo Solutions’ websites
  • People who use or may use iungo Solutions products and services. This includes members of the public who request information from iungo Solutions.
  • Individuals who attend, or register to attend, directly or indirectly via a partner organisation, a virtual or in-person event delivered by iungo Solutions.
  • Individuals who apply and/or undertake a learning programme through:
    • Expressing an interest in a learning programme to iungo Solutions;
    • Expressing an interest in a learning programme via a partner organisation;
    • Employers who purchase training from iungo Solutions;
    • Employers who take a participant on work experience or placement;
    • Employers who employ an Apprentice.
  • iungo Representatives including employees, contractors, interns and work experience placements, and volunteers
  • Members of the Board of Directors of iungo Solutions

What data we collect

iungo collects the following data:

  • Personal information including  full name, preferred name, pronouns, and date of birth.
  • Contact information including phone number, email, postal address and next of kin contact information.
  • Applicant Information including qualifications, Additional Learning Needs, Participation Barriers, equipment specifications, and Equality Diversity and Inclusion data including gender, age, ethnicity, spoken languages, socioeconomic status, disability, health and mental health information, nationality and ethnicity.
  • Learning information generated on-programme including session recordings, assessment submissions and marking records, one-to-one records, attendance information including number of absences, reasons and correspondence, and participant conduct and disciplinary information
  • Company information  including current and future recruitment requirements, hiring manager details, job descriptions, and entry and employment requirements
  • Employee contract information including start dates, hours worked, post, roles and salary information, annual leave entitlement, employment history, conduct and disciplinary information, absence information, and professional development.
  • We use CCTV at our buildings for the purposes of safeguarding participants, employees, contractors, volunteers and the public, crime prevention, security and health and safety and, accordingly, will capture imagery of visitors.
  • Website and Associated Digital Services usage data

For funding purposes we may also collect:

  • Employment information including current and previous employment, self employment, salary information, payslips, contracts, and notices of redundancy.
  • Right to Work information including national insurance number, proof of right to work, visa status, residency permit

For Skills Bootcamp and Employability Programmes we may also collect:

  • Financial information including bank details, County Court Judgements (CCJs), and Credit Scores.
  • Destination and Progression Data including participant achievements on and off programme, employability information, CVs and portfolios, evidence of interviews or opportunities secured, and evidence of new employment or other outcomes achieved.

How we collect data

You directly provide iungo with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

  • Register on our website, a partner’s website, or via an ecommerce partner website such as Eventbrite, MailChimp.
  • Communicate with us by telephone, via Social Media Direct Messenger or WhatsApp
  • Apply for a learning programme or provide your CV to us.
  • Voluntarily add information to your personal profile.
  • Complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

iungo may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Interaction with our Google Workspace, for example sharing files with members of iungo Solutions or interacting with Google Classroom.
  • Referrals from partner organisations (see list of Third Party Partners)

How we will use your information

Your personal information will be used for purposes relating to education, training, employment, Information Advice & Guidance (IAG) services, mental health and wellbeing support, safeguarding, research and reporting requirements under contracts for funding.

iungo collects your data so that we can:

  • process your application for a learning programme(s).
  • provide you with a holistic Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and mental health and wellbeing service.
  • facilitate your participation and engagement with employers and other partners through our Talent Service.
  • for our own internal records so that it can provide you with a high quality service.
  • to contact you via email, telephone or mail to follow up on an enquiry.
  • to contact you via email, telephone or mail for research purposes.
  • to customise iungo Solutions’ services so they work better for participants
  • email and/or notify you with updates and information we think you might like.
  • analyse socioeconomic trends from aggregated anonymised customer data.

When iungo processes your application, it may share your data with Partner organisations for the purposes of administering your application, securing funding for your participation and/or conducting credit reference checks to prevent fraudulent purchases. iungo Solutions may share non-sensitive personal information about you with other organisations as follows:

  • For our Welsh based participants – Most of the information is passed to Partner Colleges and the Welsh Government, or relevant Local Authority to meet funding arrangements.   
  • For our English based participants – Most of the information is passed to Government agencies including but not limited to the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the Department for Education (DFE) and/or the relevant Local Authority to meet funding arrangements.

The information is used for the exercise of functions of these Government departments and to meet statutory responsibilities, including under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. It is also used, in collaboration with the appropriate organisations, to create and maintain a unique learner number (ULN) and a Personal Learning Record (PLR).

The information provided may be shared with other organisations for purposes of administration, the provision of career and other guidance and statistical and research purposes, relating to education, training, employment and safeguarding.  

You may be contacted after you have completed a programme of learning to establish whether you have entered employment or self-employment or progressed onto further training or education.

iungo Solutions has identified that it meets a number of lawful bases for processing (as set out in Article 6 of the GDPR). In summary:

  • For processing enquiries and applications to iungo Solutions, the lawful basis is legitimate interest.
  • For processing information relating to the participant’s learning programme, the lawful basis is legitimate interest and may also be linked to a contract.
  • For gathering information about the destination of a participant once they have completed their learning programme, the lawful basis is legitimate interest.
  • For contacting a participant who completed a learning programme at iungo Solutions, the lawful basis is consent.

How we secure data

iungo Solutions will hold personal information securely. To prevent unauthorised disclosure or access to personal information, we have put in place strong organisational and technical security safeguards, these include:

  • AES256 Encryption for data stored at rest or in transit.
  • Regular review of data collection, storage and processing procedures to ensure there is no unauthorised access to our system.
  • Access to personal data is restricted to only employees that require access to the data.
  • Requiring identity verification before granting access to data, this includes asking additional questions to ensure only authorised individuals are granted access.

If information is shared with another organisation (reasons for this are given in the section below) it will ensure an Information Sharing Agreement is in place.

iungo Solutions follows stringent procedures to ensure it processes all personal information in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Sharing Information

iungo Solutions does not sell or rent personal information. If necessary, information be disclosed to appropriate representatives of iungo Solutions and to government authorities, as previously outlined.

Information may be shared with third parties if it is in connection with the service being provided to individuals, for example, iungo Solutions might share information with Colleges, Local Authorities or Government Departments of the Welsh Government or UK Government for the purposes of administering, funding or performance managing the service you receive. When iungo Solutions does this it will always ensure an Information Sharing Agreement is in place.

If, as part of the entry requirements for a programme or if an individual is applying for a job with iungo Solutions, we need to take up a reference or obtain ‘disclosure’ from the Disclosure and Barring Service, we will inform you beforehand.

Parental consent is not normally required. There may be exceptions with regards to participants with severe Additional Learning Needs, or children and young people under the age of 18 who engage with iungo Solutions via youth clubs, events, or work experience placements.

Data from individuals who opt into iungo’s Talent Pool, either directly or via acceptance onto a Skills Bootcamp programme, may be shared with employers not listed above. Those employers agree to iungo’s Talent Matching Privacy Notice. 

Retaining information

In general, we will hold most of your personal data for the duration of your engagement with us. The periods for which your personal data is held during and after the end of engagement are set out in our Document Retention Schedule, available on our website.

Visiting our website and accessing our digital services

When someone visits https://iungo.solutions, we collect standard internet log information and visitor details of behaviour patterns. This allows us to track the number of visitors to the different parts of the site via Google Analytics. The website collects the information in a way which does not identify anyone. Any personal information collected via the website will have been voluntarily inputted by the user, such as in the case of signing up to a newsletter or completing an application form. 

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file placed on a computer’s hard drive. It enables iungo Solutions’ website to identify individual visits to each of its web pages.

Cookies allow websites and applications to store preferences in order to present content, options or functions that are specific to individuals. They also enable iungo Solutions to see information like how many people use the website and what pages they tend to visit.

All cookies used by this website are used in accordance with the current Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 as amended by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2011.

Cookies do not provide iungo Solutions with access to an individuals’ computer or any information about them, other than that which they choose to share.

Individuals can use their web browser’s cookie settings to determine how iungo Solutions’ website uses cookies. If an individual does not want iungo Solutions’ website to store cookies on their computer or device, they should set their web browser to refuse cookies. However, please note that doing this may affect how iungo Solutions’ website functions. Some pages and services may become unavailable to the individual.

Unless an individual has changed their browser to refuse cookies, iungo Solutions’ website will issue cookies when it is visited.

Social website cookies

We embed content from third party websites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, thus you can easily “Like” or “Share” our content on social sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

This will however involve third party cookie information, whose privacy will vary from social network site to social network site as well as the privacy settings you have chosen for those networks.

Controlling information

When you fill in a form or provide your details on iungo Solutions’ website, you opt in to receive marketing communications from iungo Solutions by e-mail, telephone, text message or post.

You can unsubscribe from these communications by: 

  • clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email.
  • send an e-mail containing the phrase “Opt Out” to communication@iungo.solutions

Any individual can request that iungo Solutions’ delete their personal data. This request for erasure can be made by e-mailing the Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@iungo.solutions

Whilst the Data Protection Act 2018 doesn’t provide an absolute right to have your personal information deleted by an organisation (for example they do not need to delete personal information if they are obliged to keep it by law or have another legitimate reason to keep it), iungo Solutions will review each request and erasure will be assessed on a case by case basis.

iungo Solutions’ website may contain links to other websites. Please note that iungo Solutions has no control of websites outside of https://iungo.solutions. If an individual provides information to a website to which iungo Solutions links, it is not responsible for its protection and privacy. Individuals are advised to read the privacy policy or statement of other websites prior to using them.

Your data protection rights

iungo would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request iungo for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that iungo correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request iungo to complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Iungo erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that iungo restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to iungo’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that iungo transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Complaints and queries

If you have any questions about how iungo Solutions’ collects and uses your personal data, please contact the Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@iungo.solutions.
