Key Details

The IASSC® Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) validates advanced proficiency in executing data-driven process improvement projects using the DMAIC framework. Tailored for departmental managers, quality specialists, and process analysts, this qualification covers statistical tools, root cause analysis, process mapping, and variability reduction. Candidates learn to lead localised improvement initiatives and analyse operational metrics. Upskilling your key personnel with Green Belt certification enables your organisation to eliminate workflow bottlenecks, enhance operational quality, and reduce waste. It equips operational leaders with actionable methodologies to deliver measurable cost savings and productivity gains.

  • Module 1: Define Phase – Covers the fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma, establishing project charters, and mapping customer requirements into critical-to-quality (CTQ) metrics. It equips candidates to structure continuous improvement initiatives and align business priorities effectively.
  • Module 2: Measure Phase – Focuses on defining processes through process mapping, establishing reliable data collection plans, and conducting measurement system analysis (MSA). Candidates evaluate baseline performance using key statistical metrics and process capability indices.
  • Module 3: Analyse Phase – Examines root cause analysis techniques, multi-vari studies, and inferential statistics to pinpoint sources of operational variation. Candidates apply hypothesis testing across parametric and non-parametric data sets to validate critical inputs driving defects.
  • Module 4: Improve Phase – Details methods for developing, testing, and implementing targeted process solutions using correlation and linear regression analysis. Emphasis is placed on optimising workflows and eliminating non-value-added activities.Module 5: Control Phase – Teaches the application of statistical process control (SPC), Lean controls such as 5S and Poka-Yoke, and standard operating procedures. It prepares practitioners to construct robust control and response plans to sustain performance gains over time.

Candidates participate in continuous formative evaluations throughout the course, engaging with interactive knowledge checks, dataset scenario exercises, and mock examination to track conceptual understanding. Summative evaluation is conducted via the official invigilated PeopleCert IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt examination.

Achieving this certification provides a direct entry pathway into key operational roles, such as production Team Leader or Supervisor roles or Quality Assurance roles. Successful candidates who complete this Certification can also progress onto the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Candidates should hold a valid Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Candidates without formal credentials are welcomed through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), drawing upon lived workplace experience in project support, administration, or operational delivery. A foundational understanding of corporate environments and project delivery workflows is recommended to gain maximum value from the course.
