Key Details

The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) establishes a foundational understanding of AWS Cloud concepts, core services, security, and cloud economics. Ideal for cross-functional teams, technical managers, or non-technical staff needing cloud literacy, this qualification validates high-level knowledge of AWS infrastructure and governance. Candidates learn how AWS supports business agility, cost management, and security compliance. Upskilling your workforce with this certification ensures non-technical stakeholders and junior staff can collaborate effectively on cloud initiatives, make informed decisions aligned with cloud best practices, and support your organisation’s digital transformation goals efficiently.

  • Module 1: Cloud Concepts – Covers the core value proposition, economic factors, and baseline benefits of the AWS Cloud, including elasticity, scalability, and deployment models. It introduces foundational architecture concepts aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
  • Module 2: Security and Compliance – Focuses on the AWS Shared Responsibility Model, Identity and Access Management (IAM), governance frameworks, and security best practices. Candidates explore compliance resources, data protection methods, and core security services such as AWS Shield, WAF, and GuardDuty.
  • Module 3: Cloud Technology and Services – Details core AWS compute, storage, database, and networking services alongside cloud management tools. Candidates evaluate global infrastructure components and serverless architectures to address common enterprise operational scenarios.
  • Module 4: Billing, Pricing, and Support – Teaches AWS pricing models, account structures, and methodologies for identifying cost-optimisation opportunities. It reviews AWS Support plan tiers and resource monitoring tools such as AWS Budgets and Cost Explorer.

Candidates participate in continuous formative evaluations throughout the course, engaging with interactive knowledge checks, scenario-based practice questions, and mock examination to track learning progress. Summative evaluation is conducted via the official invigilated AWS Certified: Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) examination, a 90-minute closed-book assessment comprising 65 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions. Candidates must achieve a scaled score of 700 out of 1000 or higher to secure their certification.

Achieving this qualification opens direct pathways into foundational cloud roles such as Junior Cloud Specialist, Cloud Business Analyst, IT Operations Associate, or Cloud Sales Consultant. Successful candidates are ideally positioned to advance toward Associate-level technical qualifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified Developer – Associate. Furthermore, it establishes a solid conceptual foundation for pursuing specialized domain tracks such as cloud security, data engineering, or artificial intelligence.

There are no formal academic or technical prerequisites required to enrol in this foundational course, making it accessible to professionals from all functional backgrounds. A basic familiarity with general IT terminology and standard business processes is recommended to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
