Get Ready for a Career in Green and Sustainable Tech
iungo has partnered with the King’s Trust to develop and deliver a bespoke Skills Bootcamp in Green and Sustainable Tech for young people in Cardiff aged 16 – 30, to showcase the exciting career pathways available in the Green Economy.
The programme targets young people who are (or are at risk of becoming) NEET – Not in Education, Employment or Training. Young People achieve a Level 2 Award in Sustainability by participating in the programme, a qualification awarded by WJEC, Wales’ national awarding organisation, and recognised by employers across the UK.
The Skills Bootcamp employs innovative methods of teaching and learning to support young people to develop practical and problem solving skills for real-world tasks. Over the course of the Skills Bootcamp they explore key technologies underpinning the Green Revolution and develop a Lego Smart City powered by table-top renewable technologies.

There are no entry requirements for this Skills Bootcamp. Participants are expected to have a keen interest in technology and the Green Economy.
Participants do not require a specific level of Numeracy or Literacy to take part in this programme but they should be comfortable with taking measurements and interpreting basic instructions. formal entry requirements for this programme. Candidates applying to undertake this programme should possess a reasonable level of data literacy and be comfortable interpreting charts and graphs.
- 10 full days tuition to the WJEC Level 2 Sustainability and CSSC Lean Six Sigma White Belt syllabus
- Practical workshops
- Practice Tests
- Registration and exmanation fees
- Guaranteed interview upon completion
- Up to two 1:1s with a Certified Tutor
The primary aim of this Skills Bootcamp is to support participants to find new employment opportunities in the green economy or upskill in their current role. Participants will be invited to a Careers Opportunities day with local employers upon completion of this curse.
Upon successful completion of this Skills Bootcamp, participants will be able to progress onto a Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship or further education course in engineering, technology or green skills.
Participants will also be able to work towards the CSSC Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. This is an internationally recognised certification.
The Level 2 Skills Bootcamp in Green and Sustainable Technologies is £1,495 inclusive of VAT. This includes ten days tuition, access to practice papers, a guaranteed interview
Funding may be available through the King’s Trust and ReAct Plus for eligible applicants living in Wales. Please note, the contents of the course package may vary depending on the funding stream so please check before applying. See funding for further information.
