Funding

We work across National, Regional and Local Governments to curate funding options to maximise your L&D budget.

The education and training landscape in the UK is complex. Whilst the Apprenticeship Levy is not devolved, departmental budgets for apprenticeships and skills training are. Whether you are a large cross-border corporation, or a single-site SME, it can be challenging to navigate the funding landscape. We are here to help you cut through the red tape, and access funding pots to make your L&D Budget go further.

Funding in England

Funding for training in England just got a lot more complicated. Devolved arrangements in place for some Mayoral Combined Authorities (MCAs) and Local Authorities (LAs), against a backdrop of UK Government funded training initiatives, and changes in Departmental responsibilities. Explore the English funding landscape below.

Funding in Wales

Responsibility for education and apprenticeships in Wales is devolved to the Welsh Government, with funding allocated according to the Barnett Formula. The introduction of the City Deals have seen new types of training initiatives arrive in Wales, coordinated by the Regional Skills Partnerships and Funded by UK Government. Funding in Spain

Spain has a highly structured system designed to upskill both the employed and unemployed, heavily supported by European Union funds. Key initiatives include FUNDAE (State Foundation for Training in Employment) which is based on social security credits, the SEPE (State Public Employment Service), as well as a mixture of regional funding via Autonomous Communities and European Funding through programmes such as the NextGenerationEU & Resilience Plan (PRTR).
