We attended the Mothers Matter Ball of Hope with our partners, Vicki-Jane Appleton and Lillie Jamieson of Divergent Emergent. This year, we have been working collaboratively with Divergent Emergent on a Clwstwr-funded project to support neurodivergent people to access roles in the Creative Sector in Wales.
The Mothers Matter Ball, in aid of baby loss awareness, took place on the 2nd of July at the Vale Resort in Hensol. Two hundred guests were welcomed including mums and dads, representatives of peer support groups and perinatal mental health charity organisations, and Members of the Senedd including Buffy Williams MS.
We met up with partner and Perinatal Mental Health Expert, Mark Williams, who was the keynote speaker at the Ball. We’ve been working with Mark to develop a new suite of courses for Mental Health in the Workplace and recently launched our new Social Entrepreneurship Academy!
Despite raising awareness of what is a saddening experience for many women, parents and families, the Ball of Hope was uplifting and empowering. Packed with live entertainment, a charity auction, and a raffle, guests had a wonderful time.
(Jessica won four tickets to see Cardiff Blues – who wants to come?!)
Our Human Resources Executive, Ploy Nilduang had a great time at the Mothers Matter Ball, showing off her moves on the red carpet.
