Finance Tutor Practitioner

You are a competent financial technician. In this role, you will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage the financial reporting requirements of the business.  You will also develop and deliver financial training programmes for a range of audiences. You will plan, tailor and review delivery material around client requirements to improve delivery effectiveness and  learner experience. Your role will span the following  key areas of responsibility: Financial Administration, Delivery, Content Creation.

 

Financial Administration

• Prepare quotations and costings for new programmes
• Process invoices and remittances
• Maintain the accuracy of financial information and accounting systems
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Carry out payroll operations
• Support the CFO in preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Support the CEO in preparing investment proposals 

 

Delivery 

• Lead Finance and Project Management training deliveries
• Be comfortable delivering to a range of audiences, cohort sizes and in hybrid form
• Offer a consultative approach to delivering content and solving business problems
• Provide one-to-one support to participants to increase successful outcomes
• Provide first-line support for answering participants queries
• Report to the Programme Tutor on all aspects of delivery performance

 

Content Creation

• Develop content for Finance and Project Management learning programmes
• Create and develop core delivery material for Finance and Project Management learning products
• Curate and tailor material to meet specific client needs
• Work with Assessors and Content Designers to develop assessment materials
• Review delivery effectiveness and continually improve content and delivery

Knowledge

Familiarity with and understanding of:

• Accounting principles and methods
• Corporate UK taxation regimes
• Awareness of business financing and funding instruments including debt, equity, and grant funding
• Project Management frameworks and tools

Skills

You will have some or most of the following skills and willing to develop the remainder:

• Using Accounting software (preferably Quickbooks)
• Using Spreadsheet software such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Financial Administration including preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, processing invoices, and bookkeeping
• Preparing quotations and costings
• Preparing Return on Investment (ROI) proposals and cash flow projections
• Presentation and report writing skills
